RE:DRIP vs CASH and then buy on open market.RB - I love your enthusiasm and happy New Year.  If you don't need the income and are interested in furthering an established position - a DRIP is a great thing for the individual investor.

In both cases, you get paid a "dividend" and end up with more Shares.... But with a DRIP you get share dilution.  

DRIP =

BAD BAD BAD  for Shareholders

GOOD GOOD GOOD for CEOs.... They have more cash in the company to pay themselves nice pay check and bonuses.

All just my opinion/view.
