RE:RE:Impact of ESKOM issues on V production in SA

There are 3 primary V producers in the world and 2 of them, Bushveld and Rhovan are located in South Africa. Glencore’s Rhovan is a very old mine with declining production year over year. If V demand increases in 2021, then as per Roskill ““In the rest of the world, some production increase will come from Largo Resources and Bushveld Minerals, but in a limited scale.”

It is likely that the Eskom issues will have an impact on Bushveld production. So indeed 2021 does look very promising for Largo.

Excerpt:

Looking over to supply, Roskill believes it will likely be constrained in 2021.

“In China, steel slag producers run close to capacity while coal stone producers are not incentivized given the low pricing environment,” he said. “In the rest of the world, some production increase will come from Largo Resources (TSX:LGO,OTCQX:LGORF) and Bushveld Minerals (LSE:BMN), but in a limited scale.”
