RE:RE:Its nice to hear 8.50 share priceWow, this was a really informative and helpful post. Thanks, Canadafan!
I hold most of my ONC in my TFSA. I also had a small holding in a taxable account. Today, I transfered that to my TFSA. I took a loss, which I can't claim on my tax return, but I don't care. I know I did the right thing in making the transfer to my TFSA. I truly believe Oncolytics will eventually reach a high stock price. There are just too many big pharmas involved, and the results are always good. And aside from the financial aspect of this investment, it's just fantastic to see what they are able to do for patients.

Your comments are uninfomred, short sighted and showinig a nievity needing information.
So Ill start.
First the day-day price 'cant get above $3.00" look at the trend & chart,Withinkast 3- 5 years has been well above the $8.50 mentioned.
Just 12 months ago above $6.25
Next the "analysts" who put the valuations forward. they do-so based on in-depth review of all potential oppotunies of the company.
Presenly ONC is in trials with Pfizer, Roche, B.M.S. Incyte & Merck
All of which have done their own in-depth DD prior to the co-devlopment agreements/trials & studies.
Now.....should anyone of the 3 major studies ( some rsutls due next few months) prove, a good match.
Then a "partenrship" deal will be done to move Pela into Phase3 breast cancer trials.
Or any one of the other 3 types of cancer they are working on. Roche for example is looking at 2 separate types.
Why does today's price not matter?
If the science proves out ( and all indictions so far have been positive) , a $$$ deal will be done & the price of ONC will be mutiples of today.
The $8.50 ( average of analysts) is based on projections one year out, with lots of conservative factors.
The Canadian analysts adds an up-side of $18Ps shuld they ink a prtnership or firm up trial results.
Alternalty should the science fail, the company is not worth much.
It is that risk & the trial time involved that holds the price back.
( not to mention. short sighted day traders).
When will the price to $8.50 take place??? Check out GLSI another bio-tech
Was trading low $2-$3 range for longest time. Came out with some positive news.
Price went to $120Ps++ in one day!
Granted it has settled back to mid $35 range.
That news BTW not even close to what ONC has the capability of.
NO BS, you could have bought GLSI a few days before the news for under $5. moring of news. Premarket was mid $30s: By noon over $100.
Never never underestimate the potential upside of a biotech
If even one of the 3 trials ONC is involved in says the right words. You wont even be able to get an order in. market price only and well above the $8.50
Look around go to ONC sight get educated.
GLSI had sucsess with a phase2 , very limited application. ONC has a much broader base application of the productT
that is is what is slowing thinsg down. They are proving out the wide base theory.
