Soooo....what does this really mean?
In simple terms....it means that Biden can do pretty much anything he wants to do and that means that a significant part of his 110 page manifesto largely written by Bernie Sanders will be implemented over the next four years.
1.....expect tax increases for individuals and especially corporations
2....expect huge increases in the federal Deficit each year and probably elimination of the debt ceiling legislation once and for all
3...expect an end to any investigations into what Biden and Obama did re the Russia hoax and all the guys..Comey etc to get off without a glove laid on them. Conversely...expect a new crop of US Attorneys in each state to go after Trump and try to put him in jail.
4...expect an end to oil industry subsidies..especially those associated with fracking and an invcrease in the WTI price and many bankruptcies in the US oil industry and possible failures of smaller regional US banks due to loan losses to oil companies
5...expect shares of renewables energy companies to go up with a massive infusion of federal money programs
6...expect a renewed push by caravans coming from Central America to come to the US...this time unopposed when they cross the border illegally
How will the Market react to this???
Tough to say....depends on whether they focus on the deficit spending by the Government which anyone who has taken Economics 100 or at least knows about how it works will increase economci activity and help increase stock prices...or....will the market focus on the deficit itself and the increase in corporate taxes and take that as negative....
Right now it's anyone's guess and that is why I continue to be overweight cash...albeit at a lower percentage than I was last Spring and the early summer....
