I dont think you need to be so binary with being either a trader or investor. You can certainly be both.

I made my first purchase at $1.05 and have been continually adding along the way for the lasy few years (ie Investor), but given how XBC can swing even on a daily basis, I have also traded in and out on a swing basis (buying x number of shares and selling 75-85% back and keep the 20% either as free shares or deeply discounted shares) to build onto my core postion. 

I have probably added another 25% onto my position doing this.

Would I have been better off buying and not trading this way? Sure, but hindsight is 20/20 and given I am alrready overweight in XBC I prefer to add to my postion via this discounted process.
