RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RUMORES SAYS THEIR MIGHT BE COMPLETE SHUT DOWN FOR 4 WEEK IN Not having the capabilities to provide masks to the population is the govts fault and were sleeping at the wheel like usual , what exactly does our minister of health do ? ..The govts are now telling people who got the first shot of vaccine that they will not be getting the second one , and that's against the recommendations from the supplier and experts ... hello ??? anybody steering this titanic ???
My spouse ( who is in the medical field and has worked for 30 years with a mask on ) realized from day one that we would not have enough masks just by the simple fact that she is responsible for the purchases at her job. She knew right from the start that we were not prepared but yet all the experts , ministers, advisors , managers , etc. who work in the disease research field couldn't see it coming ? .. govts were worried about the economy and didn't shut everything down fast enough or long enoughand now they will be causing even more chaos when they lock us down ... I hope they don't shut down all manufacturing because that will set back the economy to the point that many businesses will not be able to survive , we already had massive price hikes in the construction industry along with backorders ...we are not out of the woods just yet .... I am lucky to have had access to N95 masks though not certified for medical use but still the same as they had those for the construction industry and have been using them all along.
The ignorance of the authorities and short sightedness of the authorities is clearly evident and here in Quebec is clearly evident. N o Quebec has nothing to crow about and on a pro rata basis are likely closely as bad as the worse in the world.
Vaccinations being injected is also nothing to write home about. Only about 40k have been administered

We had to argue with in order to convince older family members not to travel to their winter getaway this winter because all their friends were going , well it turns out most of those snowbirders GOT THE VIRUS and spread it to their families also . Although only 1 was terribly ill and survived it still caused chaos in their entourage /families and pressure on health care workers ..all this could have and should have been avoided , our health care system has always been operating at over-capacity levels and it is now at a critical level ... vaccination has been slowed down because Canada has no buying power to buy more than it is 'given" to us , they would run out if vaccination is ramped up ... The govts base their decisions on them trying to look as good as possible , not really on logic ...Govts should have shut everything down and told the citizens to suck it up , our ancestors suffered through wars without food ,light, or communication ... we have all the basic necessities to overcome this , I was hoping this would help us realize how lucky we really are but I guess it didnt work , especially when you hear about one lady complaining that she couldn't have access to conditioner for her hair ...there will always be those who don't follow the law but hard lockdown is the only way that the majority will help contain the virus until the vaccines get around to everyone...GLTA

When they finally did close the borders, they added loopholes that allowed foreigners to come here as long as they had ''family members'' living in Canada.
A lot of these family members came from China or other hot spots were allowed here in that period. This certainly didn't help stopping the spread of the virus.
Those of us who remember our history classes know that the different plagues were disseminated by human travelers or animal travelers like rats aboard ships.
We had all the tools at our disposition to stop this modern plague, we knew six months in advance that is was coming here and we completely fuc.ed up. Rulers in the middle ages didn't have the modern technology that we have; they had an excuse that we don't have.
Now that the virus is comfortably implanted, the borders are closed a little bit tighter and some pressure is applied to people who still travel for pleasure. These measures came much too late in my opinion; even our very average leaders should have seen this a long time ago. They should have planned when it still was in China.
Now they are seriously on the warpath against the virus; I am nervous about the decisions that they will make for I suspect they will overreact to show us how superb decision-makers they are.
