SIR Royalty Income Fund (the Fund) holds investment in SIR Corp (SIR). The Funds' investment, SIR is engaged in the business of owning and operating full-service restaurants in Canada. SIR has concept restaurant brands, including Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill, Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar, and Canyon Creek Chop House, signature restaurant brands, such as Reds Wine Tavern, Reds Midtown Tavern, Reds Square One, and The Loose Moose, which are used by SIR under a license agreement with SIR Royalty Limited Partnership (the Partnership. The Fund receives distribution income from its investment in the Partnership and interest income from the SIR Loan. The Fund indirectly participates in the revenues generated under the License and Royalty Agreement through its Investment in the Partnership.

RE:RE:RE:Tell them to shove itThe fund is supposed to get 6% of sales, even in these times of low sales. SIR corp. isn't paying the fund in order to keep solvent yet they can afford $30 million to buy out the fund? This after spinning off the fund at $10 a unit 15 years ago bringing in $80 million, meaning they will make a profit of $50 million from the funds' investors, more if you consider inflation.

If SIR can afford to buy out the fund then they know they will survive and restart paying the fund in about 6 months time. They are making the buyout offer now before the unit price triples later this year. Vote NO to this horrible offer.
