Alternate Symbol(s):  GPTRF

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company is focused on the Herbert gold discovery situated approximately 25 kilometers (km) north of Juneau, Alaska. The Company holds a 100% interest in the Herbert property. The Herbert Gold property system is open to length and depth and is host to at least six main composite vein-fault structures that contain ribbon structure quartz-sulfide veins. The Herbert Gold project is an exploration stage, partially drill-tested, high-grade, gold mineralized mesothermal quartz vein system in the historic Juneau Gold Belt of southeast Alaska. The project lies prominently within the 160 km long Juneau Gold Belt, which has produced over seven million ounces of gold. The project consists of 91 unpatented mining claims, located 25 km north of Juneau and to the south of Couer Alaska's profitable Kensington gold mine. The property covers six parallel vein structures exposed at the surface.

RE:RE:RE:HARD TO BELIEVE

RE:RE:RE:HARD TO BELIEVEIt's a crowded field. There are hundreds of explorers listed in Canada alone. Silver broke out of consolidation a few weeks ago. From what I saw watching about 50 silver listings was some where getting a lot of buying pressure. EXK, FVI, AXU, AG, ABRA, SILJ are some while others didn't do much at all, even ones that typical traders jump on such DSV, MMV, DV... I don't really care too much what that means as far as what category of buyers where jumping in. I just follow the charts and level 2 to some extent. L2 can change on a dime but it can give you an indication of interest either way. That's one of the reasons I dropped GPG for the the moment, so I could position into what I was seeing. Gold popped up above resistance but I'm not seeing sector wide buying pressure yet and even when it does come they likely won't all move at once. Another thing, and I know no one here wants to here this, is there are a lot of narrow low grade hits. Yes, there are some nice hits as well but I have two concerns at the moment. One, do any of the new narrow low grade hits cut off the wide high grade shoots. Its hard to make heads or tails without at least a long section. Two, how well the nice hits hold together. A nice hit surrounded by low grade isn't going do do much for resource expantion. I can't tell what's going on yet. They could be hitting a nugget every now and then in a sea of low grade. GPG has a decent resource for its MC and lots of potential but you could say that about many explorers. I'll likely jump back in when chart breaks out. Till then, I'll be trading what is breaking out. I'll offer up my lists again if anyone has a StockCharts.com account. My silver list has around 50 co's, the big list close to 430.
