Thanks. Yet, it's true my long posts are boring and won't work out for many. I do believe you can beat the street, but it's not easy. I find taking the time to write down my thinking has been helpful in making better calls. Doing the work and being proactive is the 2nd most valuable thing anyone can do, the 1st being just the length of time dedicated to sitting and holding in the long run. Don't interrupt compounding. And it it's not compounding, like this, then trade it like a mercenary and recognize the factors that could re-start compounding (causing a prudent switch from trader to investor).
Also this type of forum is more helpful, because unlike
"Dear Diary, I'm so happy/sad/whatever about such and such stock" this, like Twitter, can connect you people like minded people in the know. Knowedge is power, and tends to be closely held.
In short, it's highly self-serving both in terms of better analysis and decision making, and also finding and connecting with people holding interesting perspectives.
