RE:Wow that was quickI was late to the party and would have bought for sure....
I didn;t have any of my stock sold though, and why would I???????
If you put a stop-loss on your account, and it does what it is supposed to, then you get what you get.
I have one ongoing purchase order on my account for one of my holdings, and I have ZERO stop losses, and ZERO upper-limit sell orders. NONE.
I know the companies I own. I know that ALL and ANY of my holdings "could" lose 50% of their value or more in moments, or gain in the 100% range as well. I am okay with taking this so-called risk, because I have purchased only companies that I believe are SEVERELY undervalued versus their long term share price projextions that I have.
Definitely no remorse for those who make decisions, let it be a lesson to anybody, and they can buy back in at a 12% premium if they really want to, and maybe learn something about why not to stop-loss a long term hold company.
Cheer!

When I finally got off the phone saw the stop order and the resume notice. So much I don't know about the gamesmanship that goes on. There is no way in my mind this thing was normal, to pull something like this off you would have to be pretty strategic and have everything liined up before something like this can be triggered. I know that there is a lot of dark stuff that can happen with the stock market, but in no way want to see it happen to any stock. There is no way anyone could explain to me what happened and how except to say some people will come home from work check their account and find they had just sold a pile of their shares, but the closing price was not much different from the day before. I never have a stop loss price only a price if it hits a pretty high level my shares will be sold, but I was fine with the price I got because I had got the gain I would be happy with when locked in the bid.
