RE:RE:RE:Do shareholders not have a say?I was born and raised in England, a country that has been fighting France on and off for almost 1000 years!  They are socialists and nationalists who hate anything been done better than they can do it themselves.

You misunderstand me - we both agree about the likelihood of the deal going through.  But the management of ATD know that just as well as you or I do - and yet the have still made an offer.  They are not going to be issuing a statement in the next few days hastily retracting their offer and expressing surprise that they didn't expect such a negative reaction from the French. There must be method in the madness.
