Quebec would be very wealthy today

Quebec would be very wealthy today

https://financialpost.com/commodities/energy/lng-prices-skyrocket-but-fresh-delays-mean-canadian-projects-will-mostly-miss-the-boom

Just imagine If the Quebec government just gave the go ahead back in 2008 to Questerre, Junex, Gastem, Altai, Petrolia, Squatex, Petrolympic etc. in producing their vast discoveries. Quebec would be producing all its natural gas needs by now in province and would be an exporting LNG power. If you go back in the original plans GNL Quebec was supposed to be built by now- 2019 I believe.

It is quite a "told you so" situation when you read an article like above. What's not getting enough attention right now is LNG has appreciated in value more than Bitcoin over the last year so a real miss the boat on wealth and with the cold winter in Asia and Europe they have had to resort to burning coal and diesel to keep up the power supply- think of all the emissions. By not developing natural gas resources in Canada years ago and building LNG export terminals which would have done wonders for job creation and wealth, we are now responsible for massive amounts of emissions being released when LNG could be ample but Asia and Europe need to now burn coal and diesel up to  (1 million barrels per day).

When will a reasonable Quebec politician have the courage to finally do what is right to approve these win win projects!
