RE:RE:RE:AOC actionsKingfisher, I'm not a fan of AOC either, but even a fool with power can be used for good.
I respectfully disagree with 2 points you wrote:
The power in charge in ALL capacities will act in the interests of Puerto Rico.
I guess you are referring to the House Natural Resources Committee. Talk to people on the island. Read articles. They will affirm the FOMB is in charge in all capacities that matter and they are definitely not acting in the best interests of the people of PR, especially in energy. What I have encouraged people to consider doing is to highlight the fact that the FOMB no longer answers to anyone in a substantive fashion. That might actually remind Congress and the incoming President to consider using any powers they have that extend beyond writing scathing letters.
So I really think it is not helpful to petition people for Greenbriar.
Who said anything about petitioning for Greenbriar? I have never asked anyone on this board to refer to Greenbriar or pretend that they represent the company in any letters or comments. What I and others have said consistently is the FOMB's corruption is exposed in how they have refused to approve the 16 shovel ready projects and in the laughable rationales they have offered for their decisions.
I am in Greenbriar in a big way because I think it is one of the few TSX.v companies that is actually walking its talk on ESG. And that matters to me. I am convinced that its projects will be good for the communities it operates in. Yes, the letters and comments will help Greenbriar, but PR needs all 16 solar projects right now - so why not advocate for all of them! PR does not need a new unelected queen and her court of appointed board members deciding everything that matters - why not point that out too? That is an argument that politicians can use. I am asking people to defend their interests in GRB by advocating for a much greater good that will help everyone in PR.
