Clearly IMHO they are keeping share number of fixed shares low as part of the agreement with Canopy to purchase fixed shares. A high share count on floating shares might be a deterent for Canopy to purchase them. We will see.

It is a chunk of value any way you look at it.  We will see if she is worth it!  Those floating shares are a wild card.  Commonsense tells me that they will equalize with WEED shares after the trigger because WEED will be calling the shots.  It does give Canopy some time to come up with cash to buy the floaters or they can just print some new shares and figure out a ratio to absorb the floaters for Canopy shares.  One thing for sure is that Acreage is being positioned by Canopy and Constellation for world dominance and leadership.  I just don't get why so many are unaware or choosing to ignore what Acreage is all about.  To me, Acreage is Canopy USA and will be 10 times the size of what Canopy is now, if they pull this off.  Canopy has led the way for all the others and have been relentless in maintaining their leadership.  All potpreneurs got knackered down to more fundamental values and Canopy and Acreage got it extra hard.  Acreage took care of their shareholders first with a special dividend and even the last one was because Canopy wanted it to go to shareholders.  I calculated about $3.30 per share went to shareholders while the market was still sorting out fair value.  Some investors are seeing where Acreage sits in this whole equation and see the method to the madness.  Constellation is driving the bus and have put key people into Canopy and I'm pretty sure are responsible for the latest personel changes at Acreage.  Canopy is big but Canopy USA is going to be bigger.  Constellation stirred up the whole industry with $5 billion and I am sure are still backing Acreage until the triggering event, which most feel is imminent. Judging by the influx of traders to Canadian lps and US MSOs, it is almost like it has already happened.  Maybe just relying on State protection is enough to start things and the money will follow.  It is hard to imagine that these legitimate potpreneurs are running around with bags of cash because they can't get banking and it is almost just as hard to imagine that they have built some serious businesses without bank and institutional financing.  There is still a lot of upside to the US greenrush and Acreage fixed still has a dividend attached at todays prices.  I see an easy double for Canopy shares with the trigger and Acreage value will follow.  glta and dyodd
