RE:RE:Relative Performance

RE:RE:Relative PerformanceThanks Cheadle.  You are right.  Some of my calculations were wrong since in a few cases, I had US$ prices vs C$ prices.  Also, I took the minimum value from a different sources now, and a hanful of the names were off by a penny.  I am reposting.

As for Kelt, if the low is $0.67 and it closed at $2.18, the rate of return is (2.18-0.67)/.67 = 225%.

Sorry for the confusion.

Many of the names below are completely miscalculated, the list below is not accurate at all.

For example ( many ), check Suncor, Enerplus.

Enerplus (ERF), touched a low of $1.62.. really it was more around $1.83 as you couldn't buy it on that blip of a dip.

So let's say $1.62.. today it's $4.64..  that gives it approx 286% return.  A great return if you bought at the absolute Low.

Suncor touched just over $14.. today it's around $23.36.. that's about a 70% return.. not even 100% (let alone 143% noted below).

I bought a tonne of Kelt around .75c (50,000 shares).  It's now $2.20.   It stamps just under 300% on my TD investment account.. so how it's noted at 221% below, it's just not accurate.

You're good people, honest intentions, but clean it up a bit k.

Just for fun, I calculated the rate of return of various oil & gas companies from their 2020 lows to January 15, 2021.  Different firms may have reached their lows on different dates.  In the calculation of the return, I only compared the prices and did not account for dividend payments.
There is no real conclusion other than just looking at how different firms have done in the last 10 or so months.  Crew is not doing too bad.
