RE:RE:Plant-based Pitt Meadows business pivots during pandemicThat explains the Quarterly numbers. I wish they would be honest with their shareholders.
Also a better business decision would be to order Australian container shipments once a month based on demand for the next 12 to 18 months to see where this goes...enough to stay ahead of the curve which will level off after the initial hype the last three months.
Spending $1 to $4 million dollars in 2021 to build out their own plant would be another big waist of money they (and we shareholders) cannot afford. Specially during a pandemic and recovery year!!
I think they are too over zealous on this product and have blinders on if they think that this build out will work in their favour. (Like hiring that glorified IT guy who claims to have worked for Pepsi and those other companies. (Glorified IT guy who likes bitcoin, and cannot hold a job, more like it.)(Linkedin summary)
Perhaps they should look at their own model for white label manufacturing and contract this Australian food manufacturing out to a local BC company who is already in that line of business and can produce these products for them at much lower cost. That way they are years ahead of the curve and can turn a profit much quicker. They would also be able to control the production requirements without incurring idle machine costs and leasing.
Heck they did it for Cliff bars and others white labels. They can certianly have someone else produce this stuff for them on contract, at a fraction of the cost of doing it themselves.
Craig. Take your blinders off and take one step back for every two steps forward. Building out your own plant will not provide you the profit you and us as shareholders need out of this company. Contracting it out locally would make more sense in the short to mid term.
And where is that d@mn Cavaltinib announcement!!!! Another pie in the sky projection that is failing to materialize. Fast track mu @ss (Craig, you wanted to hear from your shareholders, well there it is...be smart with the little money you have left!!)
Let's go..
Curc out
