France: large export order for hydrogen emergency power system Gennao H2 (Hydrogen magazine) The French companies Pragma Industries from Biaritz and Apollon Solar from Lyon have announced the first major export order for the emergency power generator Gennao H2.
A company from Japan has ordered Gennao H2 devices for one million euros. By filling the generator with water and a bag of reactive powder, power is immediately generated to charge phones, make tablets work, establish radio connections and light lighting. The customer wants to use the devices in natural disasters and crisis situations. The Gennao H2 is portable, compact and robust and therefore quickly deployable in case of disasters.
The operating mode is simple, the user simply pours water into the GENNAO and adds a bag of reactive powder. A chemical reaction then immediately causes the production of hydrogen to the TREKHY fuel cell, which generates electrical energy for an hour. The device also works on contaminated water. The generator can produce 40W for a period of 1 hour with a maximum power of 60W. The power is emitted via two 12 volt cigarette lighter connectors and twice USB.
Pierre Fort, president and founder of Pragma Industries is very enthusiastic about the hydrogen power generator. "This solution will be used to help the civilian population in the face of natural disasters. It's a great example of what hydrogen and fuel cells can do for millions of people around the world, even in crisis situations.
