RE:The 2025 Plan

RE:The 2025 Plan

part 2, I hit return early .  My point is they can show what they are going for.

A 2025 plan with 1 to 3 oncology drugs, 2 on market.  A Nash drug approved and in US.   Put your targets out there and some financials around them.  Even just saying something like "Targeting 3 commercial markets, each over $1bil sales by 2025".  Put all the warnings around it, but it will get any investor focusing on what they are trying to achieve, knowing there are risks at every turn.  They can even state they are discounting the probability of success at industry levels for oncology Phase 1, then Phase 2, etc..,  if Plug Power can do this and get everyone focusing on how well they execute each step to get to the 2024 plan, they get credit for it.   They should lay out all the necessary steps to get to the THTX 2025 Strategic  Plan and either check them off if successful or cross it off if you families and explain the Plan adjustment.   They desperately need something like this as both an anchoring forward value tool, a transparent guide to the year, the value each step holds.   They have bits of this in their but not put together as a Strategic Plan with financial implications. Paul, if you are a sales guy with a disciplined planning background, put it to work for your investors.  Plenty of companies put out 5 year plans with stretch/base/low cases financials in them. I think this disaster you just executed demands you begin  repairing it by laying out the 5 year THTX Plan, the markets, the Goals, all with numbers attached not platitudes.

I'm not sure why they are afraid to discuss the financial implications of the future, with all the risk warnings we would know.  Here is an example from another investment I have, Plug Power.  Now I fully realize the huge difference between a more predictable industrial roll-out with fewer "binary" events, but that shouldn't stop them from discussing their strategic plan and putting wide bands around it.

Plug Power put in place a 2024 plan with EBITDA and Sales targets and adjusts it as they go along telling you where they are.  Here's their investor presentation with the 3rd page being The 2024 Plan with their strategic financial targets. Smart investors know these are just targets, not guarantees and it shows what they are aiming for.
