RE:Refinery Yes I would say both are interesting posts and good info there as been little activity by insiders until now..... can only mean one thing ? Or is there something else behind what Loten has presented?
a now or never buy situation?
surprised we did not here of RG comments
"Since then, Fortune Minerals has been scouting other areas and they are primarily in Alberta, however there are some sites in Saskatchewan, and the Manitoba government has been encouraging them to situate there.
Goad estimates the capital cost of building a refinery at about $375-million, which helps the local economy, and 100 jobs with an annual payroll of $100-million because these are high paying jobs for skilled positions...."
when questioned about the processing facility Troy would not be specific about locations being considered but some how this reporter got some info......don't get me wrong I am elated to here that Alberta is in the sights and a candidate. In my opinion, assuming we have to build a new one, it's our best option in that transportation costs to a refinery are an operations issue. Did I miss something or did our refinery costs go up? I don't recall hearing 375 mil in the past or are we partnering with some one who needs to process something else? All speculation but intriguing and likely our next news. If Alberta is truly a candidate I would not be surprised of government assistance in a big way....AB has been tarnished in eyes of many Canadians with its big oil ...breaking into green with something like this would not only be leadership but a significant public statement of more diversification by Canada's oil giant. The NWT and AB have obvious huge historical business synergies and that just may be expanded upon ver6 soon....I hope it continues.
