RE:RE:RE:RE:DividendsI tend to disagree RealistDontalkm, the day I start relying on dividends for my returns is the same day that all other hgiher returning options have been exhausted ;)
My aversion to risk is VERY high, and getting paid 5-10% on money is too risky for me, and it should be for you as well ;)
Dividends is too much work, you have to find a home for it all.... Much easier to just buy REALLY good companies when they are REALLY cheap and then check in every few days or weeks.
Cheers!

For me, The chain of events for earnings is as follows:
-Grow the business by obtaining more "business"
-Spend it on lowering operating expenses if possible(better equipment/facilities)
-R&D
-Share buybacks
-repay deby(if applicable)
-
-
-
- Dividend
My hope is, if we ever get dividends, that all other avenues are exhausted first, and that it is a "special dividend", and not a regular dividend.
When and if regular dividends show up, I will likely cease buying in, and likely begin reducing my position.
Cheers!
