Power Corporation subsidiary launches energy infrastructure partnership to invest heavily in North American renewable energy. Power Sustainable's investment platform aims to roll out $1 billion over the next three years.
 
Investments will mainly be made in solar and wind energy projects, energy sources whose development and operating costs have declined significantly in recent years.
 
"The opportunity is huge," says Pierre Larochelle, Managing Partner of the Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Partnership.
 
"Between US$1,000 billion and US$2 trillion will be invested in renewable energy over the next five years worldwide. It's an astronomical amount," he says.
