A sickly green colour

A sickly green colourIs the green agenda so important that a newly elected president needs to use the same very undemocratic powers that he accused his predecessor of using for the sole purpose of creating cheap political symbolism?
I am not a lawyer but I seem to recall that existing deals between friendly nations should not be broken willy nilly unless there is concurrence or otherwise for  some truly important over-riding reason.
At the very least the action should be debated in Congress.
Could it be that  our incumbent weasel has already signaled his concurrence? And if so to what purpose other than garnering cheap political votes in his home provinces?
By now it should be apparent to all that shutting a pipeline project has absolutely  nothing to do with saving the planet as demand not met by it will be met by some other hydrocarbon source.
The true "greens" need to speak up and insist that their Goverments provide then with a realistic
cost effective plan for achieving lower CO2 emissions. Anything else is mere political puffery!!
