RE:NewsThe sales order backlog should be contracts that are signed and they have to deliver the product. The sales pipeline is the number of proposals out there some of which will convert into formal purchases while others will not be pursued further. Usually companies establish some idea over the long term as to what percentage of the pipeline has a chance of becoming a sale and from my experience it is not a very high percentage. That does not mean you are not successful as it is normal, but just means you gotta keep pounding the pavement. I am not concerned about the current sales order backlog, but when I invested in 2017 or so, I did so because the IWS was quoted as having an $80 million order backlog i.e. sales to be executed. That was clearly not the case and it was more of a "pipeline of dreams".
