RE:RE:RE:Capital GainsAmen Pandora, the new finance minister Friedland is on the record in the past with the wealth redistribution theme. She and Justin have also used simliar lines as Biden "build back better". Friedland will deliver her first budget soon (couple months?) and I expect we will see the initial seeds for our new socialist state carefully woven into the fabric of the budget...with much more to come since they will want to 'dip their toe into the water' first and gauge the public reaction before proceeding full on. They have already paid it forward with our young 15-16 yr olds (soon to be voters) with the CERB, so IMO we won't have long to wait. Just hope they give the retired seniors somewhat of a 'pass' on the redistribution thing so we can live out our years with a bit of dignity.

Someone has to pay for his recklessness.
Hoping for my Canadian resident friends we hit the lotto before that happens. ;)
Bunge, nice move living in the Bahamas. They all have time to do similar b4 we hit it big $$$$
Knocking capital gains tax platform was pretty much a foregone conclusion when he started running up the debt to unheard of levels and now he likely has a running mate in the U.S. - Biden and his tax hungry party. They have already discussed it and Trudeau would like nothing more than to be a copycat. We just have to hope he does not target the TFSA although that could be political suicide - but it still would not surprise me if he froze it for no further contributions.
Follow the yellow brick road to the socialist state. The government will take most of what you have and redistribute it to others.
