How well do you actually know QuantumScape's new approach...?  All we know is that it uses a solid state ceramic electrolyte (that also serves as the separator).  Based on patent filings, some experts suspect it is an oxide known as LLZO.  LLZO in its "bare" form can underperform electrochemically, & performance can be enhanced by chemical doping...one doping element that has shown promise/success in the lab is Silicon.  For all we know, QuantumScape's new approach could include Si...
