Too many CEOs in place for a long time while not delivering results for shareholders. You can take someone out of university or high school, make them a CEO and over time they will become better through experience. Publicly traded companies should be led by CEOs that have the skillsets to build a business in a reasonable amount of time and the board should make changes when it is not happening at a reasonable pace. Yet, too many companies operate on a "on the job training" MO. Fine when it is your own company, not fine when it is public.
