Yasch22 says

Yasch22 saysMaybe you're right Peter, but anyone who's been in the trenches here for more than a year or two also has to weight the possibility that BB could go up by another $5 or $10 or $25.

So here's the way I figure it, following (don't laugh too hard) a rough outline of Pascal's wager.

1. If the sp goes back to $7 CDN, and you've held on, you feel bad about not taking ANY profits, but at least you know you've got another shot at a big BB rebound as QNX sales ramp up and as BB gets a lot of $ for its patent portfolio.
-- Actually, in my view, it's highly unlikely that BB would fall ALL the way back to $7. Even if some evil gang of Wall Street shorters lets the air out of the tires, I still figure we'll end up at around $11 or $12.

2. If the sp goes back to $7, and you've sold off your shares at any point in the slide from $23 (or from $26.50 at the height today), you feel good in proportion to the level at which you sold off.

3. If the sp goes up by another $5 to $25 past today's close, and you sold off during the run-up of the past few days, you have two feelings to sort out:
(a) the pleasure of getting a really good win. If you're really tough-minded, you say "NO REGRETS!" eel the agony of missing out.
(b) the agony of missing out on some transformative wealth.

4. If the sp goes up by $5 to $25, and you don't sell off at all during the continued rise, you get the best feeling out of all the foregoing list of alternatives.

Blackberry says I couldn't agree more. We know the potential and have a very good idea of what Blackberry will look like within two years and certainly the share price will be much higher than today. That is enough to keep me in even if it were to crash again. The share price can always go down but the value of Blackberry will remain. The meme last week by shorts was Insiders selling now it seems to be careful. The current share price seems amazing only because Blackberry was left for dead.
It reminds me of that old blues line. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck at all. All of a sudden we have the the best CEO the best connections and and incredible services to offer. Cheers
