RE:RE:RE:RE:Steelhead and Vii ESGIt is tragic. What a waste. As to fabrication esso tried modules in Korea at Kearl. They were sub standard and had to be replaced . I believe they had a 250 million over run and the president was skidded. In my experience projects under 250 million were fairly easy to estimate but those larger brought in the bechtels and costs went up greatly, partly due to engineering staffs and one of components. For example a large vessel is not cheaper per pound but us more expensive because maybe only one unit is fabricated. The difference in shipping is insignificant in comparison to a 5 billion project in texas versus a 20 billion project in bc. Also the us has probably 60 bcfpd of transmission capacity in and around texas. All they have to do is run a few hundred miles to the coast. The pipe projects are approved in less than a year. The problem we face is a three dimensional timeline with financing dependent on a market and market dependent on approval. The USA approves and builds in a few years and ours take from 8 years to infinity. The USA has eight projects approved and ready to go. Hate to be a downer but our 1 out of 21 speaks for itself.
