The Highrider

The Highrider Listen everyone, we're all tired of the alais spam here from Mr disgruntled - 3month chart reader.

Truth of the matter is he wasn't always like this. Sometimes being empathetic is to understand where someone came from.

I wont mention any names, but him and I go back to the dog days of university life. I don't dare to go as-far as to say that we we're cut from the same cloth, or the best of friends, but we certainly ran in the same group.
Humble as it may sound, there were times when it was ramen noodles and mac n cheese on the menu.
It was bus passes and the heel-toe express getting us from A to B.
All that to say, that we started from nothing and tried to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps into a better existence.

Somewhere in the chaos, life started to get in the way and we gradually started to drift apart, I'll admit, I did very little to reach out as I was laser focused on keeping my grades up. Long story short, we didn't see eye to eye on a few things, and over time that snowballed into bigger and bigger differences.

I don't think there was any climactic event that drove the wedge, only I couldn't morally agree to some of the things he was getting into. Over the years he's grown into quite the sour man, (The guys and I have this inside joke where we say he 'curdled'). All that to say that he wasn't always the sourpuss he is now.

Now and then I think of when we we're together, and think how things could have been different.
Some people can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness, but ill admit that I was glad it was over.
You didn't have to stoop so low. Have your friends collect your records and then change your number.
I guess that I dont need them though... And now you're just somebody that I use to know as I have shared all your information with Stockhouse.
