For the time being sadly that is true, however, the Cdn Securities Laws are currently under
review and naked shorting is one of the activities that is being seriously considered for
elimination. I can only hope that it will end and soon. It is a travesty that it has continued
to go on unabated in our markets, yet is banned in the US. We are sitting ducks for
American hedge funds and other like minded institutions to short Cdn stocks with impunity.
and they are doing it. This practice must stop.
