A really enlightening article comparing shorting in Canada, the USA , Australia and EU where they conclude that in Canada the combination of lax regulations, low capital costs and few consequences provide virtually no discentive for shorts campaigners to focus on targets here.

According to them, abusive and excessive shorting found in naked shorting ( short and distort ) can destroy a company's value so much that it can't recover.

We can see them working their magic and feeding on BBD  almost every day of the week.
