Shiny objects and big numbers...brazil, you're falling into the same trap again (and here we are, so close to Groundhog Day... the movie!). Recall the manganese, speculated hundreds of millions of tonnes (you could see the shiny ridges of it on Google Earth, right Heavy!) worth billions of dollars. Then the tin, just reprocessing the tailings alone was going to be hundreds of millions... such easy pickin's. (right pfaffgau) And the potential of the tin claims we had... astronomical, were they not? The Company has no idea how much Mn is out there and the sad part, they no longer care! It's done, it's over! Tin was $20k+ USD per tonne yet a feasibility study pulled the rug out from underneath us! And here you want to see a big number for the copper and gold... why? The figures are irrelevant and meaningless, but if you must have them, they are about One billion and 800 million respectively.
Now, do you want the true market value of the resource as actually determined by what a buyer would pay for it? That figure is $300,000... $25k + $275k to date. Nobody else was interested, it sat there for years. As a matter of fact, what was our SP before signing the agreement vs what it is today? Around 30¢ and 20¢ today. We've been trending down ever since the capital restructure was done, when everyone thought the albatross around our neck was gone. So, if anything, the Cabacal project is working against us, not for us! I can't see anything happening in the next almost 3 months that will reverse that trend.
Bear in mind, when it comes to the copper, we have the same problem as with the manganese... shipping. We're in the middle of nowhere and other copper producers don't have that extra cost. As far as the gold, can you make money at 0.6g/tonne? The mine was shut for a reason years ago... and is the price of gold not slowly declining again? Have you noticed how many news bulletins we're getting here on Stockhouse for juniors with pretty impressive drill results? They are literally a dime a dozen these days! What will make this one really stand out? We await drill results.
brazil, I don't mean to burst your bubble, but the numbers you want just give you false hope! It's the numbers from the drills in 3 months time that you should be looking forward to. That is the "make it or break it" point! Even that being said, that's only the beginning... results just confirming historical numbers won't skyrocket us, you need more, much more... and that will take years! But, I guess if you've been here a decade, what's another 5 years or more?
Cheers (and sorry, bud)
