I completely understand that explanation but in this case around 1,000,000 additional shares over the last month have been added on the short side at prices between 50-60cents. So not much higher than this point and that's the thought process behind this move. Basically if the a group of investors the size of the FB group 7,700 buy 500 shares at the open thats 3.8 million shares along and would of cause the shorts to cover before they lost money. Now if those 1,000,000 extra shares were shorted at $2.00 your spot on I don't think it would spoil them to cover.
