SIR Royalty Income Fund (the Fund) holds investment in SIR Corp (SIR). The Funds' investment, SIR is engaged in the business of owning and operating full-service restaurants in Canada. SIR has concept restaurant brands, including Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill, Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar, and Canyon Creek Chop House, signature restaurant brands, such as Reds Wine Tavern, Reds Midtown Tavern, Reds Square One, and The Loose Moose, which are used by SIR under a license agreement with SIR Royalty Limited Partnership (the Partnership. The Fund receives distribution income from its investment in the Partnership and interest income from the SIR Loan. The Fund indirectly participates in the revenues generated under the License and Royalty Agreement through its Investment in the Partnership.

This is SRV's first real foray in the fast food/delivery sector. The competition is extremely fierce, but it's huuuge. I like their angle too, there's a lot of chicken joints out there, but most are greasy and boring. I've had some really amazing chicken, Korena style and Yardbirds Southern Fried in Miami come to mind. Done right, chicken can be amazing.

They don't need to own the sector, they just need to steal a small share from the big boys I mentioned and it would be a winner. It also provides a hedge against their dine-in only concept of Scaddabush and Jack's.

I would like to be a part of this rollout... so if we don't get bought and have to wait for a recovery I am fine with that.
