Probably old news but

Probably old news but

If you have not seen this it's worth a read about some of the things going on in the DRC ....it should not surprise us that some smart money will see the benifit of creating distance from DRC cobalt and that will have an impact somewhere.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/business/batteries/congo-cobalt-mining-for-lithium-ion-battery/

in true Canadian fashion FT would be wise to consider and create a fund to support safety supplies or some other assistance to DRC some of the so called "artisanal" miners .....based on what these folks make in a year it would not take much and would be a h--- of a humanitarian move that could gain international attention. We don't have to do it all but we can do something and would be a heck of a PR program. Stay away from the associations and the glencores of the world ....do a direct contribution thru a true humanitarian org .....dollars to donuts it will hit every international news headline and may awaken the right investor who is vertically integrated minded and needs or wants to prove purity of source with a humanitarian conscious. Think about it.

Bezos owns the Washington post where this was created,  he has stepped away from Amazon to focus on other things which include green tech as well ....he may like the idea.
