RE:RE:RE:Cathie Wood ARK added 8400 shares of PYR again today! All funds are in a perpetual state of buy/sell.
Purchases are made based on inflow into the company from investors (anyone like you and me who may buy the ETF). As more people buy or increase their position in the ETF, ARK then buys more shares of all the companies in the fund.
if more money flows out of the fund (people sell the ETF), holdings are decreased across the entire group of companies in the fund.
Purchases by ARK are also made to establish a full position for a new entry to the fund, and to increase the percentage position relative to other companies in the fund. Since the fund is rebalanced quarterly, that's where even larger shifts in purchases might be seen as greater prominence is given to different companies in the fund.
