RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Speculating about the financial results is a waste of time.A good example of giving too much info was with Ryan Air and Boeing. Ryanair had ordered a large number of 737 NG. Both Boeing and Ryanair on routine regulatory filing with USA for Boeing and UK/EU for Ryanair and what they release to public during the deal announcement gave enough information that aviation consultants were able to calculate cost of each airplane to 20 mil USD. Boeing listed these airplane as 60-80 mil USD. They didnt do they homework before realizing UK/EU and US regulators ask for different information and with what they realized AB new what they competitor was selling at it. Boeing the same ba$tards were accusing bombardier of selling c series to delta below cost.

Bombardier competitor will be able to deduce the cost per airplane and based on the quantity bombardier is building per year the competition will be able to outbid or charge premium for better delivery slots. This is why all backlog dollar numbers are all given as a range. Remember all potential customers are talking to all OEM not just bombardier. The less bombardier tells the less its competitors have to pin down bombardier. This is why i keep saying except for chatter before and after q reports we wont hear much about bombardier. Bombardier has bit of an edge, while all parts are in USD for bombardier and its competitor the labor for bombardier is in CAD. This gives bombardier a bit of an edge on Gulfstream and Dassault.
