These people couldn't Disrupt their way out of going Broke! That's why I'm hoping a New Board might have a Hope of making this company successful, if that is even possible. The entire event hangs in the hands of whether anyone is foolish enough to lend more money to get the company off the ground. But given the performance of the last board, nobody wanted to commit anymore money, and this is a Dead Dog until then.
One would think if the "plan" was to recruit for new board members that might have been part of the news release. It looks more like the plan is to fly on a wing and a prayer as they are, with Brian, Andrew and Hubert (Bert) Whyte. Bert Whyte seems to be in my age group and I have been retired for 24 years. He obviously has stayed more active than myself but in the new world of wifi I am not sure just how much he contributes on the innovation side. Bert is a holdover from the old Newbridge Networks days where he worked with Terry Matthews and Andrew. Amazing how much of a tie there has been to Newbridge and/or Terry Matthews but there does not seem to be any direct support for survival coming from that direction.
I thought the break in silence the other day would be followed by some kind of "update" as to whether the company actually has a survival plan but, so far, no indication of that. Maybe it just goes to the next quarterly sometime in April - a couple of months away!
