actually since the stock is in the green and my avg is in the low .40s that means just that same amount of shares because I never sold and my account is up.  Didn't need to flip.  

You buy and hope it goes up to flip that penny. What happens when you try to flip that penny and the trend reverses? You sell for a loss ?
