StockguruThere is no need to pit metals people against crypto people. They are not the same and long term metals win always against any said crypto in the store of wealth game. I like both, but cryptos more as a tool. No one is ever going to dig up long buried Bitcoin that was lost on a shipwreck and find any value. Gold or silver could have been lost or buried thousands of years ago and them that find it find wealth. Any crypto is a trend of present circumstances and states of technology. A Bitcoin can be knocked from its position of so called value by an unlimited amount of potential competing cryptos. Time is not kind to trends that masquerade as value. Lose your private keys and your valuable is lost not only to you but to the world as the crypto vapourizes back into the air it came from. That is not a store if value as it can disappear with any irresponsibility or misfortune of the holder. If one has an accident or dies with the private keys the crypto is gone forever. Yes you can lose your metals as well but wherever they got to there is still value there. Before you think I am bashing them remember I said I like them as well. Perhaps in a different way than those that like the trendy nature of a given one as representative of a so called value. This post could go on longer than I want to right now but the psychology necessary necessary for the endurance of a crypto specific is a whole new can of worms. If you enjoy the current trending spiecies of choice then have at it but don’t pretend it is an all enduring monument. Time and circumstance isn’t kind to ignorance of ones situation or what one believes it to be.
