I think it is a little bit of each possibility you listed.  Also, the company did a financing at 0.55 recently with warrants, and it is totally plausible that a good chuck of those investors decided to take the safer route by selling the shares they purchased for a price as close as possible to $0.55 an therefore leave themselves to ride the warrants for free or near free.  Its a free-of-charge and risk-free way to participate in a company's near term success.  It does look like there is an iceberg order in the 0.54-0.55 level.  On the bright side...these guys should be just about done and we'll get a return to a more balanced bid/ask and the SP should be free to move closer to its natural level.

A super quarter might also get us to bust through the nellies.
