I want to know if I can transfer money into my TFSA, then exercise rights that are in a non-TFSA account and not face any penalties.

Or can I exercise the rights with cash from a different account, then transfer the shares into my TFSA after the fact without a penalty.

But I'm just entertaining this questions on here in case someone with knowledge in this area had a link to a resource I could read. Otherwise I'll be mostly discussing it with the broker.
