RE:Stock Price Estimate I wish you were right, but Exxon's market cap is based mostly on their current production of about 3.6 MM bbl/day, midstream, downstream, and chemicals divisions, although the reserves do add some market cap - you would likely need to speak with their head economist to get an accurate breakdown though, especially to determine what a bbl of reserves is worth.
There is a huge differential in the intrinsic value of a bbl of produced/producible hydrocarbons and reserve hydrocarbons. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I think those price estimates are a little high.
NOTG, do you have any ball park numbers on what a reserve bbl would likely be valued at compared to a produced bbl - or anyone working on the exploitation side of an E&P on this board - just for curiousities sake?
