Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Weed earnings tomorrow...

RE:Weed earnings tomorrow...Abysmal, even if they "beat" expectations they'll be bad. I don't think the market cares about earnings right now though, the narrative will be about US legalzation. So where do we really draw the line between success and failure?

They could have some bright spots such as their drinks division, but the head of drinks resigned a few months ago so could be bad. Their flower sales are shifting more to value packs, they're not dominating 2.0 like their plan, there will be massive impairments for closing greenhouses. It all comes down to how much cash they burn and whether Constellation is going to exercise their warrants to deposit even more cash (share price is above exercising price so they might).

As long as they don't tank the market then whatever, we know Canopy will be around a long time.
