It's a rumor because it's only speculation based on your own perception of what's happening with the share price. You don't actually KNOW if this is true so I'm going to assume it's false until I have good reason to believe it. Unlike many people here I have learned to accept the fluctuations of the markets without trying to explain the reasons for the workings behind them. But some people need to know why, and if they don't know they will make something up. That's how conspiracy theories get started and why they spread. You don't need to know why and furthermore you CAN'T know. Just accept that fact and make your best judgement based on what you know.
