RE:ResourceStockDigest

RE:ResourceStockDigestA very good assessment Greenday. The flooding of Cigar Lake (for the second time) was a major catalyst that sent the market into a frenzy but it was preceded by a previous flooding of McArthur River. and serious cncerns that two major mines would be lost. The Kazakhs were not as dominant then as they are now but the serious underinvestment in Uranium supply over the last 10 to 15 years is going to make a bad situation very much worse. There are no new mines anywhere close to production. NXE's Arrow is years away from production and FCU even further away...and these are the best two in the region. Wheeler River may come on stream first because Denison Mines are using ISL for that operation. All the while demand keeps on growing.
As you rightly say this is a very small investment space so small dollars cause large price movements. The difficult bit for me is timing my exit. I think though, we have only just started on this bull run. when the spot market starts is moves upwards...that is when we will see spectacular gains. I am not an FCU investor but a little surprised there has not been significant upward movement in its price...compared to NXE that is. But early days yet.
