RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:4th Q Results The price of nickel during the 4th quarter 2019 when factoring thier hedge book was higher than the 4th quarter 2020. I don't like Sherrits nickel hedge for 2021. Regardless, this company has certainly turned the corner and put most of the financial woes behind them. I do expect a pullback in the morning. It's always a guess though.
I'm very new to this, like 2 months into a trading account, but my purchase of S. Shares had more to do with what I think is going to happen to the price of nickel in the coming three years. Vale, Glencore and Norilsk all began to invest heavily in new mine capacity about three years ago with peak production for all three ramping up in 2022 through to 2026. If we take our cues from the folks that know the products and demand for their products better than anyone, well then?
Sherrit is in a much much better financial position than they have been over the last 10 years and I fully expect them to be profitable in the years to come. I also expect the US Adminstration to quietly reverse the previous administrations actions. I mean Freeport Mcmoran is just not going to sue sherrrit for its Cuba assets. Tesla, GM, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, ect. factories in the US are absolutely going to need this nickel. Besides the Dems are a little more left of centre these days than they have been in the past.
