Birchcliff Energy Ltd. is a Canada-based intermediate oil and natural gas company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for and the development, production and acquisition of oil and gas reserves in Western Canada. The Company’s operations are focused on the Montney/Doig Resource Play in Alberta. Its operations are concentrated in the Peace River Arch area of Alberta. The Company has a 100% working interest in its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant and two oil batteries, as well as various working interests in numerous other gas plants, oil batteries, compressors, facilities and infrastructure. Its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant, which is licensed to process up to 340 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of natural gas, is located in the heart of the Corporation's Montney/Doig Resource Play.

RE:RE:CEO interviewI watched it as well.  Agree they don't seem too fond of each other.  From the sounds of it, Jeff has had his come to Jesus moment and now only wants to get his balance sheet repaired.  I agree with this move whole heartedly.  A fortress balance sheet that is not dependent on the banks or credit markets is going to be essential for these companies to survive.  I suspect last spring pretty much put the fear of God into him as Birchcliff was on the verge of going to zero and into creditor protection.    Now the question is, can they pull it off?  Time will tell but if they do shareholders will be rewarded........finally!

My only other comment is this process should have started 2 to 3 years ago.
