Let me ask you, how many of those covid detection machines have they sold?
Every one they make.
What's their margin per machine?
They estimate about 40% of wholesale, or about $5000 per unit
How many machines will they sell once covid is under control?
Maybe not 20,000/month, but when do you think Covid will be "under control"? Do you understand that the virus is mutating faster than we can adapt?
And KNR's BioCloud units will be able to detect many different pathogens, including new viruses that pop up. So you think sales will go to zero under those circumstances?
Do you have any public source where they state those infos, cause I couldn't find it and I would like to consult them. None of it seems available on their website or in their latest financial reports.
As to its usefulness and the virus, there could be long discussions about it which probably belong somewhere else than Stockhouse.
I'd need a ton more info about the device to make up my mind about whether it's a "hot" item specific to the context or a long lasting one, plus if the benefits justify the costs and margins (for sustainable long term sales). From the info I get on their website, it looks like a general air analyzing machine which works best for elements that are constants in the air (unlike a virus). This could be worth a fortune or just another Theranos waiting to happen.
