RE:RE:Ex div dateWell to be fair, 500 mill to 1 billon, to be allocated over the course of an entire year is not exactly that huge of a sum for a 35 billion dollar market cap company.
The question with SU and basically all o&g stocks in general is whether institutional interest will return to the sector.
While the macro environment for energy has been steadily improving, on the institutional investor side of things, there is a trend toward divesting o&g investments. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the medium- long term as profitability returns to sector. The question is, will investor capital also return.
